my mellow season

Everyone's happily back in Miri, cruising away to the beaches and havin' little trips. Taking gazillion pictures without me. *sobs*

Miss those faces. Can't wait to see the girls in KL.

Thinking of getting everyone to go for Gwen Stefani's concert next month. August 21st. A tad pricey (good seatings are RM285) but I definitely think it will be worth going (mashed and squeezed with heaps of sweaty people.. hmm.. well.. I shall think again..)

Anyway. My schedule's full these days. Loaded with assignmentssssss. Lol. I have no idea how many times I repeatedly utterred those words the whole week! Jason might've mention it more often than usual too.

"I'm doin assignments la.."
"Have u hand up the assignments ah??"
"Eh Ms. D'Cruz wants the assignments now..!!"

You get the clue.

Esther and I came up with an evil plan yesterday.
Against Type-A Jason.
When I mean by Type-A, i'm not talking about his blood type or AAA grade (altho he's an excellent student) or anythin of that sort. It's a term we use in Psychology, called Type A behaviour. It's the pigeonhole for ppl who's extrovertly active, frenetic, constantly excited, etc. He hates it whenever we call and tease him. Lol. Just a joke! Chill, Jason.

We tricked him into believing that our lecturer, Ms D'cruz, wanted the assignment in an hour, or else 30 percent's going to be scrapped off our final paper. I thought he'd freaked out, being the Type A he is, but he took it quite calmly. Considering he hasnt started the work, and neither did we.

Esther was tryin so hard to make a HUGE fuss over it. I was trying so hard to not laugh. "Aiyo..die la wei. Ms. D'cruz was sooooo mad you know.. Jason, what we gna do?!!"

Jason, no reaction. (whoa. i was impressed, no Type A veins pop out)

We left him for like 5 minutes. Came back. Expected a Jason to run around, calling Ms D'Cruz, bawling over the phone, papers scattered all over, screaming and the whole drama. But, surprisingly, he's still A-OK.

Ironic enough, WE got worried.

"Is he ok? He seems calm..."
"I know. Maybe he's too freaked out until he can't react anymore."
"Yeah... Maybe we should tell him we're only handin the work on Weds"
"Yeah we better..."

So we did. He was a little redder than normal when we finally let him in with the whole joke thing, but he wasn't pissed that we made him panic a "little". Hehe.

I'm done with one of my assignments for History. A compilation of 20 political cartoons, with 20 essays to write up on. My lecturer wants it A3 size (think drawing book size). So it was a bit tiring to do.

These are the sorts of caricatures I have to ponder on and write a full one page essay on. The cartoonists have such witty sense of humour!

Like politics but in a rather not-so-serious sense? Then, you would love http://caglecartoons.com/. There're SO funny!

The whole project was a FUN process tho. Shop for the materials at Craft Haven and the artsy shops I never been to. Lol. I found a really cool pen-paint kind of er, pen. The ones ppl use to make designs on glass? I had the most wonderful kiddie time playing with it!

The end product !

Not so much with the fancy pancy thing. But I liked it. So DIY. I was beaming proudly at it, eventhough I had UHU glue substance smudged all over my hands. And I manage to perfectly spell my partner's name wrong. Hehe.

Oh well, what done is done.

I was aiming for the star, but atleast I landed on the moon. :)
